Gildfind<\/a><\/strong><\/span>,\u00a0The Worry Front<\/em><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n A quiet brilliance is on display in several of the collection\u2019s stories, expressing the immensity of a life in a single moment or gesture […] Many of Gildfind\u2019s narratives are compelling and disturbing in equal measure, tightly focalising around one character\u2019s perspective to the exclusion of other points of view. Some thoughts on the editing process<\/a><\/strong><\/span>‘, for a clever and entertaining reflection on the editorial relationship.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Josephine held the position of\u00a0Associate Editor<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0at\u00a0Westerly<\/em>\u00a0Magazine<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, at the University of Western Australia, between 2017 and 2022.\u00a0The Magazine has a long and prestigious history, and has had an influential role in the careers of some of\u00a0the nation’s most respected authors<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n In 2019, Josephine was guest editor for the seventh\u00a0Online Special Issue<\/a><\/strong><\/span> of\u00a0Westerly<\/em>: ‘DisAbility<\/a><\/strong><\/span>‘, which featured an image from artist and poet Oliver Mills<\/a><\/span><\/strong> on the cover. Contributors to the issue include Andy Jackson, Jessica White, Jane Monson, Khairani Barokka, Kristian Patruno, Robin M. Eames, Anthony Riddell, Heather Taylor-Johnson, Suzanne Ingelbrecht, and many more.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Guest editors for\u00a0Westerly’<\/em>s second Online Special Issue<\/a><\/strong><\/span>,\u00a0‘<\/i>New Creative’, were David Thomas Henry Wright, Rashida Murphy, Marie O’Rourke and Josephine Taylor.
